Your 10 Steps - from Perspiration to Inspiration

Does everything feel like a struggle? Why not use inspiration to create energy that propels you up and over life’s inevitable speed bumps? Here are ten steps to get you started.

1. Be grateful: Create a list of the “50 Things I Am Grateful For Today.” Take a minute each morning to mentally express your gratitude for at least 5 things whether it’s the air you breathe, the clothes on your back, or those closest to you.

2. Celebrate and list every success: How would you like to have a boss who only ranted about what you did wrong or what you failed to achieve, never giving you credit for the wins? Take a look in the mirror and make sure you aren’t abusing yourself like a boss from hell. Keep a running list of your successes for the year and post it near your computer or nightstand.

3. Learn from your setbacks: Failure happens. It’s part of life and a necessary component of growth. Accept failure as something good, as proof that you are taking risks and stretching yourself. However, in addition to accepting the losses, you must go back and, like an unbiased scientist, ask yourself what went wrong. What will you do differently in the future? Mistakes are only truly valuable if you learn from them. Even if your home improvement is a problem - this is just a ride, as Bill Hicks used to say.

4. Fill your glass: Forget the debate over whether the glass is half empty or half full! Why not take a pitcher and fill it up? Tackle every situation with the perspective that you can affect the outcome. Acknowledge that you have the power to choose. Even doing absolutely nothing or feeling sorry for yourself is a choice you make.

5. Look for role models: Who inspires you? Is there someone who walked in your shoes and faced similar battles? Maybe even someone who went on to become a superstar in his or her own life? Identify her but don’t put her up on a pedestal. Remember that she is a person just like you, who overcame the odds, or struggled through extreme hardship and persevered.

6. Become a visionary: You don’t have to be a guru to have a vision of the future. All it takes is a bit of imagination and the courage to reach for something bigger than your current reality. If time and money were no object and success was guaranteed, what would you want to create for yourself, your family, or the world? Give yourself at least 30 minutes to let your thoughts dig into this one. How does this vision of the future relate to your life today?

7. Identify the milestones: Set concrete goals for yourself that can be broken down into measurable pieces or milestones. If you want to lose 20 pounds, each 5-pound increment is the next milestone you should aim for and celebrate. Instead of shooting for a distant peak, it’s much more encouraging to set your sights on the corner at the end of the block.

8. Say it with pictures: Research says that 89% of what we learn is visual, 10% is auditory, and 1% comes through our other senses. Draw, photograph, or assemble a collage that represents your aim in life. Hang it on the wall or download it to your computer desktop as a reminder of what you’re working towards.

9. Play: If you feel like you’re toiling, take a break and interject some fun. Do something ridiculous. If you can’t think of anything, spend an hour or two watching 4-year olds play. To them, everything has the potential for fun. Learn to enjoy the journey even more than the destination.

10. Ride the wave of change - don’t run from it: Like death and taxes, change is inevitable. However, resistance to change is common and causes untold amounts of struggle. Become a master evolutionist—respond to change eagerly and rapidly.

We all need a push once in a while. Choose instead to latch onto inspiration as a force that pulls you forward and you’ll discover that success can be effortless.

You cannot buy forgiveness with money, you cannot put right what you have done to yourself by throwing cash at it. This is so within Cosmic Ordering. Let me tell you a story about giving, and I mean really giving! Anyone can throw money about and look good, but when you are an unsung hero and give your time, then this is a priceless gift. By giving yourself to others and helping them it makes a difference, try it and see how rewarded you feel and see how much better you are within, and then try placing your Cosmic Order.

There is a man who I’d like to tell you about. His name is Sandy Greenberg. In his youth, Sandy was a very good student, but he came from a poor family. And so he went to Columbia University on a scholarship and there he met his roommate who also was receiving financial aid.

Now while he was a sophomore at Columbia University, Sandy contracted an eye disease that eventually proved to be glaucoma. But the trouble was, it wasn’t detected early enough, and as a result he became legally blind. But something else happened to Sandy that may surprise you. Sandy said that when he lost his sight, his roommate would read his textbooks to him, every night.

If your roommate had a serious disability, would you take the time to read textbooks to him every night, knowing the more you spend time reading textbooks to your roommate, perhaps the less well you might do with your other activities? That’s not as easy a question as it first appears.

But luckily for Sandy, his roommate did help him. And as a result, Sandy went on to graduate with honours. He got a Fulbright Scholarship, and he went off to study at Oxford. He was still quite poor, but he said he had managed to save about five hundred dollars as he went along.

His roommate, meanwhile, also went on to graduate school. One day, Sandy got a call from him at Oxford. And his former roommate said, “Sandy I’m really unhappy. I really don’t like being in graduate school, and I don’t want to do this.”

So Sandy asked, “Well what do you want to do?”

And his roommate told him, “Sandy, I really love to sing. I have a high school friend who plays the guitar. And we would really like to try our hand in the music business. But we need to make a promo record, and in order to do that I need $500.”

So Sandy Greenberg told me he took all his life savings and sent it to his roommate. He told me, “You know, what else could I do? He made my life; I needed to help make his life.”

Each of you, in your own lives, will be faced with challenges, with roadblocks, with problems that you didn’t anticipate or expect. How you are able to deal with adversity will be influenced, to no small extent, by how you deal with others along the way. What you get will depend a lot on what you give. And that’s the end of the story of doing well, by doing good.

You probably want to know who Sandy?s roommate was. I think you’ve heard of him. Sandy’s roommate was a fellow by the name of Art Garfunkel, and he teamed up with another musician by the name of Paul Simon. That $500 helped them cut a record that eventually became ?The Sounds of Silence.?

Building self confidence

Everyone needs to have good self-confidence. This is something that a lot of people do not have enough of. Everyone needs to have some way of building his or her self-confidence sometimes. There are a few tips that will help anyone in this situation.

You should be able to feel good when you want. You may have to boost your self-confidence at time so that you can feel good about the way that you look and feel. These should be good things that help you feel better about the certain things in your life. You may want to think of memories from past times that make you feel good inside. These may help you feel better when you are feeling down.

You may also want to talk to some friends or see some family members that are special to you. Any time that you make time to see some of the smiling faces that make you feel good, it will build up your self-confidence and get you back on track. You may want to do these things as often as you can so that you are building your self-confidence.

You need to build self-confidence that lasts for a long time. You will want to try and train your mind to feel good and this will be a great help. It is all about your mindset and what you are feeling. Having self-confidence is the one thing that will help you through life and get you ready for anything that can happen in your life.

If you are feeling a little bit self-conscious, you may want to try and find ways to make yourself feel better. These things are very important and you will want to make sure that you are taking care of your mental state so that you are feeling the way that you need to be. You will want to feel comfortable with yourself so that are able to do what you want and go where you like in life.

It is very easy to let your self-confidence go and you will want to make sure that you are getting it back. You want to do what is necessary so that you are able to be happy and healthy. When you are building up your self-confidence, you will be taking a lot of pressure off of your mind and body so that you are able to feel your best all the time.

Having self-confidence is something that you will need to do all the things in life that you want. It is better to have great self-esteem so that you are taking back the rest of your life. You will feel great and be able to take on any challenges that come your way.

Boost self-confidence

There are a couple things that you can do for yourself that will boost your self-confidence. There are a few different ways that you can make your life better and go better for you when you work hard at boosting your self-confidence. You will want to make sure that you are able to get to make your life the best that you can so that you are living the full life that you deserve.
A boost in your self-confidence can be something from the smallest thing to the largest change in your life. For a lot of people they will only need something small to boost self-confidence that they have in their life. They will want to make sure that they are getting what they need and when they need it.
You can change some of your outside appearance to boost self-confidence that you have in your life. You may do anything for yourself that will make you feel better. You can change your hair color, your haircut, get a new outfit or you can wear a different color of lipstick to work. No matter how big or small the fix is, you will feel different and this may be what you need to boost your self-confidence.
You can do some things to help your self-confidence on the inside as well. You may want to do something for yourself that will make you feel good. You can read a great book that will stimulate your mind or take a hot bath with some new bath salts, have a great cup of tea and use some great body lotion or you can buy a new bottle of perfume.
Find out what you think is best for you at the time and go for it. If you think that you are in need of some attention and pampering in your life, you should do it. You need to make sure that you are feeling your best at all times so that you are able to get in control of your self confidence. If you think that you need some time to yourself or a getaway from the rest of the world, you need to do it. This is important to your mental health and you have to make time for yourself.
If there is something that you think you are missing in your life, you should evaluate it and find out what you think is missing. This can be something that you do for yourself every now and then to see if you are in the best state of mind that you can be. When you feel good, look good, and act like everything is good, you will have a better time with the small things that are bothering you the most.
Talk to your friends and tell them about how you are feeling. They may be able to tell you something about yourself that will boost your self-confidence so that you are feeling good and happy about your life. You can make a difference in the way that you feel just by hanging out with people that make you feel good.
